ABOUT THE PAINTING
“I Am Snow White” is an imagined portrait of my younger self—a boy who yearned to be more than the ordinary, a boy who wanted to be Snow White. The suburban midwestern neighborhood morphs into an enchanted forest, leading to hidden glades where wildflowers bloom. This painting is an invitation to reclaim childhood wonder, to don costumes and step into imagined forests. In those enchanted moments, we become the heroes and heroines of our own fairy tales, and the mundane streets shimmer with possibility.
